Yep you read it right: Cave Camping. 'What kind of idiot would do that?' I hear you say. Well what kind of idiot would sleep in a 5 star hotel when there is far more adventure in the oldest and most reliable hotels in the world? Caves are a great place to sleep, they are nature's bothy and although they can be colder and more exposed and scarier than our humble cottages in the mountains can you think of a better place to rest before a next days hiking than IN the mountain itself? I thought not!
The Best CavesThe best caves to camp in are ideally small, have a flat floor, are easy to get to and are sheltered from the elements. A great place to start cave camping is Priest's Hole on Dove Crag (Lake District).

To go cave camping you will need the same kit as Wild Camping (minus the tent, crazy right?)
