Mountain Hikes UK was set up on the 8th January 2011 to help budding hikers and climbers get exploring the wonderful Great British hills and mountains safely and competently. By following the tips given on this site you will be able to get the most out of your walk or climb and remember it for the right reasons: not because that was the time that you had to call mountain rescue because you got lost or injured yourself but because of the overall trip and wonderful views. We try to cover every part of the hiking and climbing community of the UK so the chances are you will find what you need to know here and even if you don't you can Contact Us to receive free help and tips that may not be featured on our site!
