We all know the feeling, you get back from a long day in the mountains, tired, muddy and wondering why you ever decided to drag yourself up a cloud engulfed mountain with no views what so ever. Your day has been ruined by the Great British Weather. However, follow these tips to make sure your next day doesn't end up ruined too...
Tip 1: warm downWarm down, this means doing stretches on the muscles you used during the day (legs for walking, arms for climbing etc). You must warm down, even if you're not warm.
Tip 3: bath timeTake a long soak in a hot bath with some muscle relaxing bath bubbles. Its relaxing and good for your muscles!
Tip 5: bed timeGet to bed early, add extra layers if there is a possibility that you will get cold. You want to sleep well and be warm as cold muscles don't repair as quickly as warm muscles.

Tip 4: muscle rubApply a muscle rub to your aching muscles as this will help ease stiffness in the morning.
